myrtle baptist church.  i was born and raised at this place.  well...i was born in the hospital, but you get the idea.  i always bring my camera on easter sunday because the kids are all dolled up in their lil' outfits.  my family has traditionally eaten dinner with my grandmother or at aunt june's.  this year was @ aunt june's.  some things to note.  my mother's dog, bailey, looks so innocent and well behaved in these photos.  she is not.  dwight got 'spy glasses' from the easter bunny and he described every single detail of what they could to do me.  every single detail.  extreme detail.  thanks for sharing, dwight.  enjoy this mini slideshow.  KMD

responded to a craiglist ad.  a musician needed photos for their cd.  come one in!  meet julien.  i'd post a link to his myspace, but i got an error message saying:  Sorry, this profile is not available at the moment. Please try again shortly.  thanks, facebook.  KMD

i don't photoshop every image.  but every image looks better after taking them into photoshop.  so that means i SHOULD photoshop every image.  but that would take forever.  lightroom adjustments do just fine sometimes.

this one was adjusted using a photoshop plug-in from TOPAZ LABS.  great software!  there are a ton of adjustments and filters.  this one is called 'portrait drama'.  it brings out all the details in the image.  and you can adjust opacity and the intensity and then use a mask after to really refine the image.  i had him rap along wtih lil' wayne's "a milli".......

i went to high school with janelle and took pictures of her son during my portrait module for CDIA almost 2 years ago now.  she contacted me because she wanted to do a maternity sesssion in the studio, wearing all white against black.  you got it!  :)  her husband, prisnel, posted that the little one was born earlier this week, weighing in at 7lbs. daddy's little girl for sure!

i'm going to post photos without the slideshow this time.  wish me luck.  :)
here are the parents.  janelle + prisnel.

oy.  portrait mayhem.  15 minutes for $25.  good times.  i set up a few sundays where my friends and family could experience my portrait experience on a budget.  you're in.  you're out.  buh bye.  the first day we had 10 or 11 groups scheduled and of course only half showed up...and all at once...at the end...when they weren't scheduled.  thank you friends.  thank you family.  LOL.  we made it work.

i'm just kidding.  not everyone was late.  :)  and my folks even showed up with bailey the pug princess.  KMD
