WHO IS WELCOME?
babies, models, seniors, wannabe models, bands, parents, uncles, newborns, pets, puppies, twins, families, friends, boys, girls....anyone who needs a portrait (that will be better than your neighbors!)

DIRECTIONS:
289 Moody Street Waltham, MA.  It is right next to the Back Pages Bookstore at the corner of Moody Street and Whitney Ave.  The glass door says:  Center for Digital Imaging Arts.  We'll be in Studio G.  When you walk in, it is at the end of the long hallway.  It looks like an art gallery from the outside.   Do not be confused by the larger gallery across the street that also says Center for Digital Imaging Arts (the school/studio is split into two buildings).

Here is the station information for the commuter rail:
http://www.mbta.com/schedules_and_maps/rail/lines/stations/default.asp?stopId=213&lat=42.374424&lng=-71.236595

The studio is part of CDIA, so this site also has directions:
http://www.cdiabu.com/directions.php (we are across the street from the address listed here).

WHAT DO I GET?
You, your family, your child, your dog, etc, will receive ~20 minutes of time behind the camera.  It doesn't seem like a lot of time, but I guarantee we'll get some great shots.  You'd be surprised how long that is.  After the shoot, all of the images from your session will be uploaded to an online gallery.  From here, you can purchase single prints (4x6, 8x10, 20x30, wallets and so on), canvas wraps and other photo products.  This gallery will be active for 30 days.  If you are interested on purchasing a DVD of all the images from your mini-session, please let me know.

HOW DO I BOOK?
Email us at karin@karindailey.com with your preferred time slot.  The non-refundable $25 deposit and fee is due to hold your spot.  Your spot will be given away if you do not pay in advance.  Paypal can be used (karindailey@gmail.com).  Spots booked after 3/15 will be $40.  If there is a MAJOR snowstorm, the date will be moved and you will have the opportunity for a refund.

EXTRA INFO:
Please plan on arriving 10-15 minutes prior to the start time of your session.  It will take you time to park, unpack, settle in and we need to get you in and out and back to enjoying your Sunday.  I will be setting up a BLACK or WHITE background, so please plan your clothing accordingly.

THE DREAM TEAM:
KARIN DAILEY - photographer
CHRISTINA ELFAR - hair/make-up
NOEL ESTACIO - make-up
JASON OLIVERA - hair
AMELIA GENAO - assistant/stylist

back one sunday at the end of september, we had 8 models come in.  all 8 showed up.  all 8 rocked.  i think i posted a few 'teaser' images from this session before, but haven't posted more since then.  our theme was 'black'....just a color to tie all of the images together.  i'll eventually photoshop an ANTM style image of all the girls standing.  it should be dope.  :)  i said dope.  KMD

how gorgeous is ashley?  jesus.  she reminds me of katherine zeta jones.  classic.

every couple of months, i like to grab a handful of models from MM (modelmayhem.com) and do a TF* shoot.  it's a fun way to try some new lighting or posing ideas.  i've worked with some very talented stylists as well.  christina elfar and jason olivera of bella nova salon and noel estacio were the talent behind the shoot a few sundays back.  christina invited her friend, walid, to come in.  he wasn't too thrilled to be behind the camera, but i love these 2 shots of him.  KMD

this past sunday, i got together with talia pique, her sisters, her friend, that friend's dad and a model from MM.  i set my alarm for 8:30PM instead of 8:30AM, so i woke up about 40 minutes after i was already supposed to be there and set up.  bad start.  i'll share the rest of the story with you all later.  i had a FANTASTIC male model come in also.  i could go on...but for now, a 'sneak peek'!  KMD

so i fell in love with the make-up that samantha did for carina.  i wish i could pull it off myself.  :)  carina is a dancer, who felt more comfortable behind the camera once she got off the stool and moved thru one of her ballet routines.  i'll post a bunch of images from her shoot after this post, but this one is kind of a favorite.  she's off to harvard in the fall.  congrats and good luck, woman!  p.s.  she's wearing a tubetop.  get your head out of the gutter!  lol.  KMD

what can i say about jennifer?  she's fan-tab-ulous!  great model!  great personality!  great to work with!  we laughed the ENTIRE time.  she's another pose/flash/pose/flash/pose chick.  love it!  she knows exactly where to put her hands, chin, eyes...awesome.  :)  i went super overboard with this retouch, just to see if I could pull it off.

hair and make-up by samantha of illustrious day spa.
skin was first.
then i copied her hair from the right and put it on the left.
made the folds in her lips less visible.
added eyelashes.
changed the make-up and eye color.
changed the catch lights in her eyes.
cooled the color of the image down.

and viola!  voila!  ta-dah!  :)  click on the thumbnail (bottom right) to see the "BEFORE".  KMD
